Iron Caddy

At the November Crazy Quilters Guild meeting, one of our members demonstrated how to make a cute iron caddy that she saw in a magazine. Closed up, it is handy to carry your iron to a sew–in. It has silver ironing board fabric on the inside and batting for insulation so even if the iron is still hot when you leave, you can safely carry it.

My friend Sharon and I decided to make ourselves one and yesterday at her house we did. Well, I didn’t get mine all the way done, but I finished it last night and this morning. Here it is. I used my sewing fabric to make it so I coordinates with my sewing machine mat and thread caddy.
