Yet Another Pick and Choose Update

I got the sashing strips together and laid some around the blocks pinned to the wall:

Hopefully, you can get an idea of how these blocks will eventually look with the sashing. I am pleased.
I spent a while yesterday sewing the star blocks together and got about half of them done. It is gong rather slow, [...]

Sudoku Quilt Finish

I spent most of my sewing time the last couple of days finishing up this quilt. It has been lying around for a while and I really wanted to see how it would look on my kitchen wall. So, I took a break from the green blocks to quilt and bind it.

It measures 24.5″ x [...]

Another Pick and Choose Update

I sewed about half of the half-square-triangle units and the four-patch units together, and put some on the wall.  This time I was able to separate the star blocks a little so you can better see them.  You still have to imagine green sashing about 2.5″ wide between them to get an idea how it [...]

Another Pick and Choose Update

The smaller strips on the left are the sashing strips. They will be sewn together end on [...]

Another New Project

Although I have like two or three dozen unfinished quilty projects lying around already, I have begun yet another one.  I can’t help myself.  This one has been calling to me for over a month.  It is called Pick-and-Choose.  Just look at it:

I realize that the quilt on the cover doesn’t really look like one [...]

CQ Progress

I have been working on the Santa crazy patch block a little. I have all but one of the seams covered with a basic stitch in either gold or silver. Here is what it looks like so far:

Once I get that last seam covered, I will start adding stitcheries in red and green and eventually [...]

What Have I Been Up Too?

Here is a picture of some of the string pieced blocks. This is about 2/3 of them.

That’s all I have time to mention. My friend Lynn surprised me by stopping by a couple days ago and is visiting.
